  Free Saddam!

There are countless discussions on whether or not Saddam Hussein recently possessed WMD. Though the Left has successfully politicized the WMD issue to its advantage, only one major conclusion concerning Iraqi WMD is incontrovertibly true: there is no chain of evidence that conclusively proves Saddam Hussein stopped possessing or seeking to possess WMD after the first Gulf War.

Due to gross media misrepresentation of Iraqi WMD related facts, public debate has crossed a threshold, where for months it has hovered, between the farcical and the surreal. In pre- postmodern days, the question of whether Hussein was a serious threat to the civilized and uncivilized world would never have been raised. It would have been considered beyond doubt that he was.

During the last two decades, Saddam Hussein had a long, documented record of stockpiling and using WMD and pursuing technologies needed to develop and produce them. He implemented programs that successfully deceived weapons inspectors. He bribed and coerced US "allies" into doing his bidding at the UN, and took advantage of the Left, in the media and elsewhere, in building resistance to those who sought to end his thirty year reign of aggression and terror.

It should be easy to conclude the obvious: that he likely possessed prohibited weapons on the eve of war and hid them in-country, destroyed them and/or moved them out of Iraq before the US invasion. Unfortunately, thanks largely to the power of the Left, things once considered obvious are no longer viewed as such.

I'll not discuss WMD further. Why bother to? The ubiquitous Left has proclaimed the issue settled. Instead, I'd like to thank leftists and their brothers-in-arms at the UN for helping give Mr. Hussein ample opportunity to deceive the world and emasculate the West. More importantly, I thank them for a successful test of the intellectual groundwork that made this, and other disgraceful charades, possible. Laurie Mylroie, you'll soon be Joan of Arc, burned at the stake for pursuing what was once known as "Truth".

Three cheers to leftists and their idiotarian followers in the arts and sciences, who within the short course of 40 years, incrementally infused America's intellectual, moral and cultural landscapes with the ideas that there are no such things as reality, morality, logic and truth. Reader, join me in thanking them for taking time out from their tireless quest for "social justice" (the collective sigh of 100 million dead notwithstanding), to impress their Utopia-driven illogic upon us.

"Truth is relative", they say. One man's terrorist is another's freedom fighter. Surely, only the close-minded could fail to see that a suicide bomber who deliberately kills and maims children is anything but a champion of freedom. Who can argue with the conclusion, that all cultures are equally good (except ones of the Western capitalist variety)? Doubtlessly, anyone can now see that societies, within which ritual clitoridectomies are performed with shards of broken glass, are as "good" as ones in which women can experience the joy of their natural sexuality. And of course, who amongst us could fail to see that a religion based on submission, which socially and economically subjugates half its followers, that encourages slaughter and conquest and enslavement and murder of all non-believers, is clearly equal to, if not better than one which is organized around the simple profound concept of Forgiveness.

The West has finally reached the point where it can no longer see.

Bad is good and good, bad. The stultifying concepts of reason and logic and pursuit of truth have brought nothing but scientific, cultural and economic advancement to their practitioners. Expunge memories of the Constitution from those foolish enough to believe in its absurd promise! The Pieta must be smashed, the Louvre burned, the great libraries emptied and toppled and Freedom, being slavery, must forever be abolished. Evil men should be returned to their thrones so they may righteously persecute their subjects. Shout from the rooftops! Rally in the streets! Say the words, which now quiver on the lips of the Leftist illuminati who have brought us to this point, words that if spoken with conviction, may like magic open the purifying flood-gates of horror, returning us to our senses: "Free Saddam!"
