Years ago while driving in the Northeast, I'd often listen to the Boston-based Howie Carr Radio Program, an entertaining talk show hosted by one of Boston's most popular news reporters and editorialists.
One of the bits Carr would feature on his show was a contest called, "The Wizard of Uhs." During "Wizard of Uhs," callers had to correctly determine the number of times that Ted Kennedy used "uh" in a public speech or in response to a reporter's question. Carr would play a thirty second clip of Kennedy speaking and whoever guessed the correct number of "uhs" he'd used during it, would win a prize.
Carr had specific contest rules. One of them was that an "uh-uh-uh" counted as a single "uh." The "Wizard" segment was hilarious, and sometimes I'd be laughing so hard during it that I'd have to pull over to the side of the road.
With Senator Kennedy currently incapacitated due to medical problems, it seems that another contender for "Wizard of Uhs" is vying for his title.
The Fresh Prince of Annenberg, Barack Hussein Obama, has all the skills necessary to assume the undisputed title of "Wizard of Uhs." The audio below that proves that point found its way onto YouTube via Rush Limbaugh, who clearly also recognizes The One as being talented enough to wrest the title from Kennedy, even if that ascension is partially by default. In his case, a default victory would be unremarkable though, since Obama won his Illinois State Senate seat essentially by default too.
Only one question remains: Will Howie Carr make the usurpation final by officially installing Obama as his new "Wizard of Uhs"?
